Which devices are compatible with eSIM?
Every iPhone from the XS and XR onwards has eSIM. On Android it depends on the exact model: look it up in our list of compatible models, and it only counts if it appears exactly as is, variant included. A Pro or Plus having eSIM does not mean the regular model has it: the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has it and the Redmi Note 13 does not. Your phone also needs to be unlocked (no carrier lock).

One warning that saves surprises: phones bought in mainland China or Hong Kong usually ship without eSIM, even when the same model sold elsewhere has it.
